CLOS for Models

Short answer

CLOS gives models two things in one app: a way to find photographers and a way to be photographed by them from anywhere. In Discovery you browse photographer portfolios and match with the ones who want to shoot — TFP trades, tests or paid work. Then the session runs remotely: the photographer directs your phone camera live while you pose, and both of you keep the full-resolution files — fresh digitals or portfolio finals.

The problem

  • Building a book the traditional way is expensive: paid shoots, studio time and travel add up before your first booking ever pays you back.
  • Finding photographers means cold outreach on Instagram or forums, with no easy way to tell who is serious and who will flake — or worse.
  • The photographers whose work you actually want in your portfolio rarely live in your city, and travel makes every collaboration a big commitment.
  • Agencies and castings keep asking for current digitals, but organising a fresh shoot every time your look changes is slow and costly — see how virtual castings handle this.

How CLOS helps

Discovery — swipe-style collaborator matching

You browse photographer portfolios and match only where the interest is mutual, so every conversation starts with someone who already wants to shoot with you.

Remote sessions in a browser-based virtual room

You get photographed from your own space: the photographer controls your phone camera and directs you live, with no travel and no unfamiliar studio for a first collaboration.

Full-resolution files delivered to the cloud in real time

Every frame lands in CLOS Cloud as it is shot, so a TFP trade ends with portfolio-grade images you can download and use — not promises of finals that never arrive.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an agency to use CLOS? +
No. Discovery matches you directly with photographers, and remote sessions run between the two of you. Agencies use CLOS too — for castings and digitals — but no representation is required to build your book with it.
How do I get portfolio photos for free? +
Through TFP (time-for-print) trades: you and the photographer both give your time and both keep the finals. Match with a photographer in Discovery, propose a TFP collaboration in chat, and agree how many images each side gets before the shoot.
Is it safe to shoot with someone I met through matching? +
A first collaboration on CLOS is remote by default: you pose from your own space while the photographer directs through an access-controlled, end-to-end encrypted room. You judge their real portfolio before matching, chat inside the app, and never have to meet in person to work together.
What do I need on my side for a remote shoot? +
A reasonably current iPhone or Android, a tripod or stable prop, good window light and a stable connection. The photographer handles the camera settings remotely — you focus on posing.
Who keeps the photos? +
Files are delivered to CLOS Cloud in full resolution, where both sides can download them. In a TFP trade both of you keep the images; usage terms are whatever you agreed in chat before shooting.
